Los Angeles Airport, commonly known as LAX, is located just south-west of the city and is a major hub for both domestic and international travel in the USA.

Public Transport:

LAX runs a free shuttle bus service that connects the airport to Aviation Station, where you can then take the Metro Green Line to the city. A shuttle bus for onward bus transportation to areas throughout LA is also available.

Taxi fare:

Approximately $45 to downtown Los Angeles

Car Rental:

LAX is home to 40 car rental companies including Avis, Budget and Hertz, located just outside of the airport terminal. There is a complimentary shuttle bus that runs between the terminals and the car rental area.



Check-in counters can be found near the entrance of all eight terminal buildings.

Currency Exchange

Currency exchange bureaus are available on the arrivals level of terminals 2, 5, 6 and the Tom Bradley International Terminal, while ATMS are located throughout all terminals.

Internet Access

Pre-paid wi-fi is available throughout all public areas of the airport.


A number of concierge service companies are available onsite at Los Angeles Airport with services ranging from limousine transfers to reservations and more.


The following major airline lounges are located within Heathrow. For access to specific lounges, refer to your Travel Associates expert.

American Airlines:

Los Angeles Airport has an American Airlines Admirals Club located opposite gate 40 in terminal 4. International American Airlines First Class and Business passengers as well as eligible frequent flyer members and lounge members are welcome to enjoy the lounge and its various facilities including complimentary wi-fi, internet kiosks, showers, children’s rooms, conference rooms, music rooms as well as complimentary beverages and snacks.

Delta Airlines:

The Delta Sky Club lounge is located between gates 53 and 55 at LAX’s terminal 5. Within the lounge, the airline’s First and Business Class passengers as well as Delta Sky Club members and eligible SkyTeam frequent flyer members can enjoy free wi-fi, business cubicles, personalized flight assistance, satellite TV, complimentary snacks and a fully stocked bar. Day passes to the lounge are also available for purchase.

United Airlines:

United Airlines has two dedicated Club lounges within Los Angeles Airport; one located near gate 62 in terminal 6 and the other near gate 71A in terminal 7. The airline’s First and Business Class passengers as well as United Club members and Star Alliance Gold members, are welcome to enjoy the lounges which feature televisions, computers, telephones, free wi-fi as well as complimentary snacks and beverages.
